I was told that Raccoon Tiger shrimp cannot breed with other shrimp, so I decided to put them in a tank with Tangerine Tigers and Blue Diamonds and see what happened. Over several months, all three varieties bred independently!

I’m now setting up a dedicated tank just for my Raccoon Tigers. Once they settle in for a couple of weeks, I’ll be moving the others from my mixed tank into their new home.

A quick tip for anyone buying these: Don’t be surprised if you only see three or four shrimp during the first couple of weeks. These guys are ninja-level hiders! But they’re also little pigs. Once they settle in and you put some food in the tank, they all seem to come out of hiding for dinner.

My shrimp arrived super healthy despite a delay in transit. Not a single DOA, including the extras, and I haven’t had any losses in my tank.

Max is the man! I’ve purchased a lot of shrimp, and based on my experience, I have no reason to buy from anybody else. Highly recommend!

These shrimp are a great addition to my collection. They look great and are very healthy. They’ve been in my tank a couple weeks. My shipment was delayed by the post office for some reason so they were in transit for about a week. I had ordered a total of 50 shrimp from Max not one DOA that is a testament to how he cares for his shrimp and how well he packs the shrimp for transit. I have ordered close to 500 shrimp online and this was by far the best experience so if you’re on the fence from buying here, I suggest you hit the buy button now you won’t be disappointed thanks, Max.

Zero losses, all arrived happy and well cared for. Packaging was excellent. Above and beyond customer service. A mix of males and females which some sellers do not do. Excellent.

All arrived healthy looking and alive. No losses even with a long transport time. (Not seller related) Amazing customer support.

Beautiful shrimp love them

Nice size portion

Amazing customer service. Love my shrimp. They’re thriving in their tank.

It has been about a month since receiving these shrimp. 7 were sent for a 5 pack order and all 7 are still alive and thriving. They have all molted at least once and have grown and their colors and stripes are starting to show. Juveniles were sent and that was good for acclimation. Some are more blue than others and the one that is more clear has been called bubba by the family :) I would definitely recommend max aquatic to others for shrimp.

I made sure to prep the well planted 30 inch long 6.5 gallon tank 2 months in advance so there was a lot for them to feed on and live plants to hide in. My kids love watching the shrimp and the ecosystem of other little creatures in the tank and taking pictures and telling teachers and friends. I check water parameters regularly as I know these are not as easy as neo shrimp to keep. So I mix conditioned tap water with distilled water. Note: pics taken after about 2 weeks after receiving, they have since grown more and finally trying supplemental food.

All six came healthy living beautiful deep blues very happy

All the shrimp arrived alive and well. Can’t wait to incorporate them into their new home.

Amazing fish and great customer service!

Always high quality and very reasonable shipping. Thanks again Max!
